  • This easy asparagus soup has less than 100 calories per serving. For a vegetarian version, use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth. Garnish with thin asparagus spears for an elegant presentation.

  • For a different spin on salad, try this low sodium recipe. With very little cholesterol, it packs in flavor with lime juice, Monterey Jack cheese and cilantro.

  • This chicken salad loses calories but not flavor with a creamy mix of low fat mayonnaise and fat free sour cream. Walnuts give this healthy chicken salad a good dose of omega-3 and a nice crunch.

  • This light healthy soup can be made up to three days ahead and refrigerated in an airtight container. For a vegetarian soup, use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth.
