Italian Green Bean Recipe

A colorful addition to any Thanksgiving spread, this easy side dish can be made in minutes and is lighter and zestier than a classic green bean casserole.

Diabetic Recipe - Heart Healthy Recipe - Gluten Free Recipe

Yield: 4 servings

Italian Green Beans

  • 3 cups fresh green beans
  • 1 cup plum tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp Italian salad dressing*
  • 1/2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • Snap ends off of green beans and steam until tender.

    Saute plum tomatoes over medium heat, about 3 to 5 minutes. Add salad dressing, lemon juice and pepper. Toss to coat. Top green beans with tomatoes. Serve warm.

    *For celiac diets, make from scratch or double check ingredient list to ensure dressing is gluten free.
